FRENCH ART FESTIVAL

We will be playing in the French Art Festival on the 28th june 2008 in New World Park , Penang. This shall be our first time playing in the French Art festival as we've been following the scene for a couple of years now. We've always wanted to play in the festival . So come and support us. There will be alot of local acts performing on that night.. so come out and suppport your local music scene.

Farewell to a friend...

The past couple of weeks has been unreal...we've rushed in for the demo session and recorded 6 of our own songs.. had a rough mix ..all before Ken leaves for China..

Ken has been the drummer for the band since 2001 ..ah..the college years...anyway... we've gone through countless gigs and competitions all these years..and now 7 years later (and older) he bids farewell to the band. Ken, on behalf of Zero Origin we wish you a safe and successful journey ahead...

START FROM ZERO

Finally ZeroOrigin is here !!

Zero Origin is a band from Penang with a party of four. Kevin on the rhythm guitar and lead vocal, Crispin on the bass, Wee on the lead guitar and Ken on the drums.

Formed in 2001 under the name of "Inbreed", the original members were Kevin,crispin, ken. Later that year we recruited a lead guitarist Azhar "Ah Seng" to beef up the sound of the band. We entered a few competitions that year and by the following year, Chiat ( from Ocean of Fire) replaced Azhar as the lead guitarist for the band. We then went under the name Ground Zero. We played in competitions such as Asia beat (which we won best performance in 2002) and Canto Rock competition. The band spent most of the time peforming in The Actor Studio, in Green Hall ,penang.

The band went into hibernation the following year for 3 years as Kevin left for further studies. The band reformed in 2006 under a new name Zero Origin and recruited Wee as their new lead guitarist .

Zero Origin writes and perform their own materials.The band's collective influences are from Nirvana,GnR, foo fighters,Godsmack..and the list goes on and on and on... and on ..
